My Approach
I believe that we all have the innate capacity to heal within ourselves; it’s not something that is bestowed upon us by another.

Therapy is a practice in deepening your relationship with yourself and getting in touch with your inner wisdom. It is also a container in which to untangle long held stories, feelings, and beliefs that keep you from accessing this wisdom. My job as a therapist is to help my clients build secure attachment with themselves and to invite compassion and perspective into this process.
My therapeutic work emphasizes the importance of experiential learning through tuning into the body, utilizing the Internal Family Systems model, and incorporating mindfulness. I help my clients to slow down and turn inwards. I treat therapy as a collaborative and creative process- one in which we sometimes get up out of our chairs (or move in them), grab some pens and paper, and create metaphors together. I also see therapy as an important place for celebration, humor, playfulness, and laughter. I work to create a nurturing and authentic environment in which all parts of you are welcome. Together we will explore these parts with curiosity and gentleness.
